Emirates ID and visa fees have been increased by 100 AED
Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) confirmed that Emirates ID and visa fees have been increased by 100 AED in the UAE. Meanwhile, there is no notification has been received regarding the rate hike from Dubai Emirate. The rate increase applies to Emirates IDs, Visit visas, Resident visas, and other ICA smart services.
The visa fee has been increased after the re-introduction of the provision that visitor visas cannot be renewed from within the UAE. As the method of exiting UAE to Oman by bus and returning with a new visa has stopped, expatriates are going to renew their visas in Oman and other countries by flight. The suspension of 90-day visas also dealt a blow to expatriates. Recently the visa fee has been consolidated at 50 AED. As a result, the daily fine for visitor visas has been reduced from 100 AED to 50 AED for resident visa holders, the daily fine increased from 25 AED to 50 AED.
