Residents Traveling to India Requested to Carry Emirates ID to Avoid Delays at The Airport.
All travelers to India from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) must carry their Emirates ID when they travel. This is to avoid any delays that may occur at the Indian airport. As of these days, the UAE will no longer stamp visas into the passports of residents. All travelers are requested to cooperate with the security staff at the airport and follow their instructions.
From the reports of some major news media in UAE, so many passengers get problems at the Indian airport because of didn’t have their Original Emirates ID. We advise all passengers to arrive at the airport early to allow enough time for the new security procedures.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security stated in a circular published earlier this year, that the Emirates ID has taken the role of the visa stickers stamped on passports and is now the official document used by UAE citizens to verify their residency. UAE Emirates ID is an identification card issued by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) to all UAE citizens and residents. The Emirates ID is a smart card that contains all of the holder’s information, including their biometrics. The card is linked to the holder’s passport and can be used for various purposes, such as identity verification, age verification, nationality verification, etc. It is also used as a travel document when traveling within the UAE.
